Marie Alder of Hoopeston, Illinois, age 87, died Thursday morning, July 8, in Hoopeston Community Memorial Nursing Home. She was born in Prague, Nebraska, April 2, 1895, the daughter of Karel and Marie Urban. In 1914, she married Fred E. Alder, who died in 1966. A member of the Methodist Church at Lincoln, Nebraska, she had retired after teaching school for 30 years.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Verne Alder of Hillsboro; five grandsons and five great grandchildren.
The body was taken from Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home in Hoopeston to the Metcalf Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska. Graveside rites and burial were Tuesday morning in Lincoln Park Cemetery at Lincoln. – thanks to S
